Kykorock

The most striking thing about Kykorock's recent record is its reliability. In its last six outings it has won twice, placed twice more, and only finished outside the top three once. That kind of consistency is rare, especially for a horse that typically races in Class 4 events, where it has won just once from five attempts at that standard. Last week it won at Worcester on 12 October, and it raced again just yesterday, so it is clearly being campaigned hard by trainer Dan Skelton's yard at Alcester. Skelton's operation is flying this season with 198 winners to its name, and Kykorock appears to be one of his live projects right now.

Jockey Harry Skelton, part of the same yard, has partnered with Kykorock twice and won both times — a 100 per cent record from just two rides, though admittedly a small sample. The horse's first career win came at Warwick back in November 2025, and it has built steadily since then. For a six-year-old that is only now hitting peak form, Kykorock represents the kind of steady climber that racing people watch carefully: not flashy, not headline news, but genuinely winning races on a regular basis and improving with each outing.
