What makes this profile genuinely worth paying attention to is the stable it comes from. Trainer W P Mullins, operating out of Muine Bheag in County Carlow, Ireland, is one of the most powerful yards in the sport. With 215 winners already sent out this season alone, that is not a training operation that wastes time on horses without potential. When a Mullins horse lines up, people notice — and for good reason.
Koliath De Couely raced just one day ago, so this is a horse very much in the thick of its career right now. With no wins yet but a placing already on the board, the next few races will tell us a lot about where this horse belongs and how high it might climb.
