Jockey Conor Rabbitt has been aboard for eight of those ten outings, and the pair have yet to trouble the judge together. That kind of loyalty from the yard speaks to a belief that the right race is still out there — and with a third place on the board in recent form, the partnership has at least been getting closer. Susan Corbett, who trains Knockeranna Rose from her base in Otterburn, Northumberland, is clearly no stranger to winners — her yard has sent out 12 this season — so she will know better than most when her horse is ready to strike.
Knockeranna Rose has done most of her racing at Class 4 level, which is mid-tier British racing, and has yet to win in six attempts there. At this level, a first win is genuinely achievable, and her recent improvement in placings will encourage the team that it may not be far away. She raced just yesterday, so she is very much in the thick of things right now, and the yard will be watching her recovery closely before deciding on her next target.
