And then there is Beverley. The tight, oval track on the East Yorkshire coast suits Kitsune Power like a favourite pair of boots. Two wins from just five races there — 40% — makes it one of those rare, reliable course specialists. It won a top-two race at Beverley back in August 2022, and this week, it won there again. That gap tells you this is not a one-hit wonder at the track; it keeps coming back and keeps delivering. Jockey Kevin Stott noted after one Beverley run that the horse travelled smoothly throughout, and that despite the race turning into more of a sprint than anyone expected, Kitsune Power still found its stride when asked. Stott also suggested the horse could comfortably step up to a mile and three-quarter distance in time — which hints there may still be more to come.

The most frequent partnership has been with jockey David Allan — 18 races together, 1 win between them — which is a fairly lean return of around 6%. But Easterby himself has spoken warmly about the horse's prospects, particularly when it gets the dry ground it craves and drops into the right company.
