Her last win came at Ludlow just over a year ago, on 23 October 2025, when she jumped beautifully to score for jockey Jonathan Culloty. Trainer Emma Lavelle was notably pleased with that victory, believing it marked a turning point — Kit's Coty had started that campaign off a weight of 96 after a wind operation, a procedure that Lavelle felt had genuinely improved the horse. The trainer's assessment was blunt and optimistic: the mare had more ability than she had shown so far, and Ludlow brought out the best in her. The horse clearly loves that track, and runs well when fresh.

Since that win, however, Kit's Coty has managed only one top-3 finish in her last six races, a tough spell for a horse approaching her late career. She was last seen just a day ago, finishing fourth — a disappointment, though hardly a shock given the string of moderate efforts. Tom Bellamy, her most frequent partner with a single win from seven rides together, has been aboard for several of those recent attempts. Emma Lavelle's yard at Ogbourne Maizey has continued to thrive this season with 44 winners, but getting Kit's Coty back to the winner's circle remains a work in progress. At this age and with her record, another victory at Ludlow — her happy hunting ground — would be worth waiting for.
