Kelso is a tight, turning circuit in the Scottish Borders that suits certain horses very precisely — and Kilmore Rock is clearly one of them. For a horse competing mostly at Class 4, which is the bread-and-butter middle tier of British racing, that kind of consistency is exactly what you want to see. Kilmore Rock is not a headline act at the sport's glamour festivals, but it is a reliable, in-form performer who knows how to win — and at Kelso especially, it is one of the first names on the racecard.
