Khanimambo is a three-year-old still searching for a breakthrough. The horse has lined up twice so far without a win or a place, finishing sixth most recently, a week earlier it finished seventh. With nothing yet to show from two races, patience will be needed — though it's worth noting the Barron yard at Maunby in North Yorkshire has been in good form this season, sending out 15 winners already. That kind of record suggests the team knows how to get horses ready, so there may yet be better days ahead for Khanimambo.
