Khanimambo

Khanimambo is a three-year-old still finding his feet on the racecourse. He has lined up three times without a win or a place finish, most recently running seventh just a day ago. Before that he finished sixth and fifth, so there's a pattern of running mid-field rather than showing up in the money. At this stage, with such limited experience and no top-three finishes yet, it is too early to say where he might fit — he could improve sharply with time and racing, or this level might prove beyond him. His trainer, David Barron, runs the yard at Maunby in North Yorkshire alongside his wife Nicola, and they have had fifteen winners this season, so the stable is in decent form even if Khanimambo hasn't yet contributed to that tally.
