Justiciar

Looking at the pattern of recent form, there is some consolation in consistency. A second place and two further thirds suggest the horse is capable of staying competitive and finding a placing when conditions favour it. Trained by G. M. Lyons at Dunsany in County Meath, Justiciar is part of a yard that has already sent out 43 winners this season, so there is certainly racing knowledge and winning horses coming from that operation. Whether Justiciar will ever break through into the winner's circle remains to be seen. For now, the horse is a perennial runner-up — capable enough to threaten occasionally, but not quite sharp enough to get over the line.
