Justice Court

The horse's form over the past month tells an interesting story. After finishing third then second in recent outings, Justice Court found the answer at Wolverhampton, then returned to the track just a day later and finished ninth — the kind of quick turnaround that can sometimes catch a horse cold. What stands out, though, is that the horse is clearly thriving over distances between seven furlongs and a mile; over that range it has won one of its three races (a 33% win rate), which is considerably better than its overall record suggests. That distance range appears to suit Justice Court's running style.

Jamie Osborne's Upper Lambourn yard has been in excellent form this season, having already sent out 48 winners, so Justice Court has a trainer with plenty of momentum and a track record of getting the best out of his string. With a first win already in the bank and clear signs of improvement, there is every reason to think Justice Court could rack up more victories before the season is out — though consistency will need to improve if it is to develop into a genuinely reliable racehorse.
