Just King High

That sole victory came early in the horse's career, and since then the results have been patchy. Across the last six races, Just King High has shown some consistency in finding a place — finishing fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, and fourth again — but has not managed to win. When stepped up to Class 6 races, the standard where the horse is most regularly campaigned, it has managed zero wins from seven attempts, suggesting that level may be slightly beyond it at present.

Robert Havlin has ridden Just King High five times without a win, and the horse is trained by Ross Burdon at Newmarket. Burdon's yard has sent out 12 winners this season, so there is experience in the stable, though Just King High itself remains a difficult horse to get back to winning form. For a four-year-old with just one win from 26 races, the window for establishing a more promising record is narrowing, but the fact that it continues to place regularly means there is still some ability there to tap into — if the right opportunity comes along.
