Jetovango

The recent form makes for mixed reading. A pair of third-place finishes are encouraging, but they sit alongside a fourteenth and a tenth, which points to inconsistency rather than a horse that is steadily knocking on the door. When Jetovango shows up, it shows up — but those bigger fields where it has finished well down the order suggest it does not always fire on the same day.

What is worth noting is that Jetovango raced just yesterday, so this is a horse very much in the middle of its campaign. There is time yet. At seven years old it is no youngster, but horses can and do find their winning moment later than expected. For now, the target is simple: turn one of those third places into something a little more golden.
