Jet Legs

The most frustrating thing about Jet Legs is the timing. It won at Hexham back in March 2025 — nearly two years ago now — and hasn't found the line since, despite being raced regularly. The last six runs have been nowhere near: sixth place, then sixth again, fourth, fifth, sixth, and another sixth just yesterday. That's a horse that has fallen into a rut. But here's what makes it interesting: Jet Legs showed promise in top company. In March 2023, it won a Class 2 race at Kelso, one of the big tests in British racing, less than three weeks after breaking its duck at Wetherby. Those were real victories, not luck.

The horse performs noticeably better on normal ground — it has won 2 of 7 races on standard conditions, a 29 percent win rate — which gives the trainer Martin Todhunter and jockey Callum Bewley something to work with. Bewley has ridden Jet Legs 12 times and won twice, matching the horse's overall form at 17 percent. Todhunter's yard at Orton in Cumbria has sent out 9 winners this season, so there's competence there. The question now is whether Jet Legs can rediscover whatever it had two years ago, or whether it is simply a horse that is better on its day than it is consistent.
