Three placings, a win, and only one truly disappointing effort in that sequence tells you this is a horse operating near the top of its game right now. The win in that run came at Ludlow in January 2026 — and that is where the story gets genuinely interesting.

Ludlow is Java Point's happy hunting ground. Three wins from just four visits there is a remarkable record — that is 75%, winning 3 in every 4 races at that track. For context, horses rarely dominate a single course that completely. Finding one track where everything clicks — the layout, the ground, the distance — is the difference between a good horse and a specialist, and Java Point is very much the latter at Ludlow.

The biggest result on the CV came away from Ludlow, though. Winning a Class 2 race at Sandown Park in February 2024 is a serious achievement — Class 2 races are among the better contests in British racing — and it shows this horse can step up when the occasion demands. Competing typically at Class 2 level, Java Point has won 1 from 9 of those races, which is honestly tough going, making that Sandown victory stand out all the more.

Much of the success has come with jockey Jonathan Burke in the saddle. Together they have won 4 of their 13 races — that is nearly 1 in every 3 — which is an outstanding partnership by any measure. The whole operation is trained by Lemos De Souza out of Newmarket, a yard that has already sent out 17 winners this season alone. With Java Point still active, still competitive, and with Ludlow seemingly always an option, there may well be more to come from this old campaigner.
