Jacob B Good made his racing debut just a day ago and finished seventh in his first outing. At two years old, he is still learning what racing demands, and a single run tells us almost nothing about his potential or how he might develop as he gains more experience on the track. The fact that his trainer,
M D O'Callaghan, has already sent out 18 winners this season from The Curragh suggests the yard knows how to prepare horses to win — but every horse has to start somewhere, and Jacob B Good is at that very beginning.
