That matters only to say the problem is likely the horse, not the jockey. Adrian Wintle's yard at Westbury-On-Severn has been busy this season with 30 winners overall, so there is plenty of form in the stable, but Jackie Brown remains what he has always been: a horse for the small, competitive races rather than the prestige events. At six years old and still actively racing, he will likely keep turning out for exactly the kind of modest contests where the odd victory is still within reach.
