The career arc is interesting. That first win came at Chepstow back in November 2024, which got things moving. Then came a couple of quieter efforts — finishing seventh twice — before the horse found its feet again, picking up a second place and then winning at Carlisle in February 2026. That Carlisle victory was only eight weeks ago, so this is a horse in form right now, not one coasting on old memories.

The partnership with jockey Gavin Sheehan is worth noting. In five races together, the pair have won twice — a win rate of 40%, or 2 from every 5 rides. That's a strong record by any measure, and when a jockey and horse click like that, it usually means the rider understands exactly how to get the best out of the animal. Trainer Oliver Signy operates out of Upper Lambourn in Berkshire, one of the heartlands of British racing. The yard has sent out 3 winners this season, and It's Top accounts for a meaningful chunk of that. Signy is clearly getting results from this horse, and with It's Top last racing just 15 days ago, the team are keeping it busy and fresh rather than leaving it to go stale between runs.

Two wins from six career races at six years old isn't a flashy headline, but the shape of the form — winning, dipping, then winning again more recently — tells the story of a horse that's still developing and finding its best. With Sheehan likely in the saddle and Signy placing it carefully, It's Top looks like the kind of horse that rewards attention.
