Irish Spring

Irish Spring has yet to find the winning post in two outings, finishing fourth in its most recent race just a day ago and sixth before that. The four-year-old remains a work in progress under Karen Jewell's care at her Borden yard in Kent, a stable that has managed three winners so far this season. With no wins or placed finishes to its name, Irish Spring is still searching for that breakthrough moment — the kind that transforms a horse from a runner into a genuine contender. How the horse responds in its next outing will tell us whether it has the makings of a future performer or whether it is simply outclassed at its current level.
