The yard behind the horse is worth noting too. George Boughey's Newmarket operation has sent out 105 winners this season alone, which puts it firmly among the busier and more successful stables in the country. When a yard of that size and output keeps returning a horse to a specific track, it usually means they have spotted something real — not just luck.

Invited does its best work on normal ground and over a distance of between one mile one furlong and one mile two furlongs, winning 3 from 9 races in both categories — that is 33%, or roughly 1 in every 3. Those are notably strong numbers. Most horses operate at a lower percentage across their preferred conditions, so finding a horse that is genuinely comfortable in its sweet spot rather than merely tolerant of it is worth paying attention to.

Recent form tells a mixed story. The last six results read 10th, 3rd, 5th, 1st, 8th, 7th — that win in the middle of the sequence came at Lingfield on New Year's Eve 2025, and the runs either side have been patchier. The 3rd last time out is the most encouraging sign, suggesting Invited is at least in the vicinity of another decent effort. At Class 4 level — solid, competitive racing without quite reaching the top tier — Invited has won 3 from 8 races at that grade, a 38% win rate that represents its clearest comfort zone. A horse who knows its level, knows its track, and has a strong yard behind it is always worth keeping an eye on.
