Invincible Ruby

The win came at Catterick Bridge in July 2025, and according to trainer Iain Jardine, it was no fluke. Jardine, who operates out of Carrutherstown and has sent out 57 winners this season alone — a genuinely productive yard by any measure — speaks warmly about this horse. He believes she shows her best form over seven furlongs around a bend, which is a specific and useful thing to know. It means she is not just a horse that runs — she is a horse that suits a particular type of race, and when the conditions line up, she can deliver.

What stands out about Invincible Ruby is her consistency of effort even without consistent results. Her recent form — finishing tenth, eighth, and tenth in her last three outings — looks discouraging at first glance, but she had a win and a second in the two races before that. The pattern suggests a horse that is in and out of form rather than one that has simply stopped trying. Jardine describes her as very tough, and that word means something coming from a trainer with a busy, results-driven yard. Tough horses are the ones that keep a yard ticking over; they take their races well and give you options.

She races most often at Class 5 level — the bread-and-butter end of British racing, where most horses spend the bulk of their careers — and has won 1 from 9 at that level, roughly one in every nine races. That is modest, but she has placed in three of those ten career races overall, meaning she has been competitive in nearly four out of ten outings. Regular jockey Mohammed Tabti has been aboard for nine of her ten races, which speaks to a settled partnership that the team clearly values.

At four years old and raced just yesterday, Invincible Ruby is very much an active project. Jardine believes there are more races to be won with her. Given how specific his insight is about what she needs — seven furlongs, a bend — it feels like only a matter of time before those conditions come together again.
