What we do know is that Invincible Nao is bred from Gris De Gris on the father's side, out of a mare by Assessor. Breeding can only tell you so much, but it at least hints at the raw material the team has been working with behind closed doors.
The most encouraging thing here is who is saddling the horse. Gary and Josh Moore's yard has sent out 99 winners already this season — a genuinely impressive number that tells you this is an operation that knows how to get a horse ready to win. When a stable of that quality bothers to bring a horse to the track, it is usually for a reason. Whether Invincible Nao rewards that faith today, only the race itself will tell us.
