Walsh is a top-level jockey, so his continued involvement suggests the team still believe there's a performance in here worth finding. The first career win came at Gowran Park back in October 2024, meaning In For The Night only got off the mark relatively late in life, which perhaps explains why the yard have kept running the horse consistently since. When a horse takes a while to find its feet, you tend to keep searching for the conditions that bring out the best in it.

Two wins from 22 races isn't a record that screams headline material, but sport is rarely that simple. In For The Night has placed seven times without winning, which means there have been plenty of decent efforts along the way — just not quite enough to get to the front. With the Naas win as proof it can still do it, and the horse still racing actively, the story isn't finished yet.
