Imperial Rule is trained by Lizzie Quinlan out of Bolton Mill in Cumbria, a small operation that has sent out 4 winners this season — modest numbers, but every one of them matters to a yard of that size. Quinlan has clearly found the right spots for this horse over time. The first career win came at Perth in May 2024, and Imperial Rule added another at Cartmel just five weeks ago, on 23 May 2026. That Cartmel win is the detail worth pausing on.
