His trainer, Rebecca Menzies at Morden in Durham, has something specific in mind for him. After a wind operation, Imperial Data became a different horse—less anxious, more focused—and Menzies sees him as a long-term prospect for chasing, where his staying ability and improving technique could pay real dividends over the coming seasons. For now, he remains a mid-level racer in Class 4 company most of the time, where he wins roughly 3 races in every 10 entered. At nine years old, with momentum on his side and the kind of progressive improvement his trainer describes, there could be more Class 2 wins ahead.
