I'm Slippy

I'm Slippy opened its account at Fairyhouse in April 2025, then added a second win at Cork in November of the same year. That Cork win is now six months in the rearview mirror, and the recent form figures — 2, 7, 10, 10, 5, 2 — tell an interesting story. There are two second-place finishes bookending a rougher patch in the middle, where the horse finished well down the field on consecutive occasions. It hasn't won in its last six races, but it hasn't been consistently awful either; those two runner-up finishes suggest the ability is still there, even if the win has been elusive.

Phillip Enright is the regular partner, riding I'm Slippy in six of its eight career races and winning once together — that's roughly 1 in every 6 times they've combined. It's a working relationship rather than a sparkling one on paper, but the pair clearly know each other, and consistency of jockey can matter more than the numbers suggest.

Trainer Robert Tyner has sent out 15 winners this season from his Cork base, which is a yard operating with some momentum. I'm Slippy raced just one day ago, so this is very much a horse in active campaign mode. Whether a return to winning ways is imminent is the question — the form dip in the middle of that recent run is a slight concern, but a horse that wins 25% of its races overall, or 2 from 8, is doing better than most. The trick now is turning those close finishes back into a victory.
