Getting a horse consistently into the top half of a field is the first step; converting that into a finish in the prizes is the next.
Two races is, in truth, barely enough to judge any horse. Some take time to figure out what racing is actually about, and a fifth-place finish suggests Ifyouhaveaplan is at least competitive. The name might raise a smile, but the real question now is whether the plan — whatever it is — starts to come together over the next few runs.
