Iff In Doubt

Trained by Edward Lynam at his yard in Dunshaughlin, Co Meath, Iff In Doubt has at least been kept busy and active. Lynam's team has sent out five winners this season, so the operation clearly knows how to get horses to the winner's enclosure — the question is when, or whether, this particular horse will join that list.

The recent run of form makes for sobering reading. Over the last six races, the best result was a second-place finish, but a tenth-place finish also features in that sequence, suggesting a horse that is inconsistent rather than simply unlucky. Racing just one day ago, Iff In Doubt is very much in the thick of it at the moment, which at least shows the team believes there is something worth running for. Whether a win is coming remains to be seen, but with 11 races and no victories on the board, patience is clearly being tested.
