Hottentotta

Hottentotta is a 4-year-old horse trained by Chris Honour at Ashburton in Devon. The horse made its debut just a day ago and finished eighth, a respectable first-time outing that left room for improvement. With no wins or places yet, there is everything to learn about whether this horse will develop into a racer of note, but a single run tells you almost nothing about a horse's potential. Chris Honour's yard has sent out four winners already this season, suggesting the trainer knows how to get horses ready and competitive when they step onto the track.
