Hello Garda

Trained by John Joseph Hanlon at Bagenalstown in County Carlow, Hello Garda runs for a yard that has already sent out eleven winners this season. Hanlon's recent form with the horse shows a mixed picture. In its last six races, Hello Garda has bounced between respectable finishes—a win, two places, and two other efforts—before a well-beaten twelfth just before this week's victory. That jump from twelfth back to the winner's circle in the space of a few days suggests the horse either found better ground, softer opposition, or simply benefited from a fresher approach. It is still early in Hello Garda's career, but the signs are that with patient handling from the Hanlon yard, better days may lie ahead.
