Heart of Glass made his debut a day ago and finished tenth in a field of runners. It was a modest introduction for the two-year-old, trained by
Richard Spencer's Newmarket yard, which has already sent out 30 winners this season. Spencer's operation is clearly in good form, so there is every chance the horse will learn from the experience and improve on a second outing. For now, he remains a horse at the very start of his racing career, with everything still to prove.
