Hawa Jumeirah

Both wins have come at the lower end of the racing ladder, which in Britain means Class 6 — the entry-level tier where horses of a similar ability are grouped together to give everyone a fair chance. At that level, Hawa Jumeirah has won 2 from 15 races, or about 1 in every 7 or 8 attempts, which suggests a horse that is competitive without being dominant. The first win came at Wolverhampton in January 2025, and the second followed at Leicester in May 2025 — four months apart, two different tracks, which at least shows some versatility.

The distance that suits best appears to be around a mile and three to four furlongs — that middle-distance bracket that rewards stamina over raw speed. In six races at that trip, Hawa Jumeirah has won once, a win rate of 17%, or roughly 1 in 6. That is meaningfully better than the overall career record and is where the team will likely keep pointing this horse.

Recent form, however, is a concern. The last six runs read 3-3-8-5-5 and a non-completion, and crucially there has been no win in any of those six outings. The most recent race was just yesterday, so this is a horse very much in the middle of a campaign. Finishing third twice in that sequence is not nothing — it shows the horse is in and around the places — but the eighth-place finish and the run that did not complete suggest some inconsistency. The last victory was back in May 2025, making it 14 months since Hawa Jumeirah was first past the post.

At this stage of its career, Hawa Jumeirah looks like a horse that is honest and tries hard but needs things to fall right. The trick for the yard will be finding the right race at the right distance to end that winning drought.
