Both of those wins have come at Lingfield Park, making it comfortably his happiest hunting ground. He has raced there 19 times in total, which tells you something in itself — the team clearly knows he likes the place and keeps coming back. His first win there came in January 2026, and he followed it up with another at the same track in March. Two wins from 19 visits might not sound like much, but at the level he competes — mostly Class 6, the bread-and-butter end of British racing — even finding one track where a horse consistently shows up and performs is genuinely useful.
The conditions matter too. Haveagobeau is at his best on normal ground, and over a distance of between a mile and three furlongs and a mile and four furlongs. At that trip, he has won 2 from 9 races, a win rate of 22% — which is a completely different horse to the one who scrapes a 3% win rate at Class 6 overall. Put him on a sound surface, at the right distance, at Lingfield, and you have something worth watching.
His regular jockey Jack Dace has been aboard for both victories. In 14 races together they have won twice — roughly 1 in every 7 — which is a far better return than his overall record suggests and points to a real partnership that understands how to get the most from him. His recent form reads 5-5-1-2-6-2, with that "1" a win and the "2"s showing he has been placing consistently, and he raced just yesterday, so he is clearly in an active spell. Jim Boyle's yard has sent out 25 winners this season, so this is a trainer in form. When Haveagobeau lines up at Lingfield again, on good ground, over the right trip, with Dace in the saddle — that is the moment to pay attention.
