The biggest concern is the drought. Havanagreattime has not won a race in 18 months—the last victory came at Newbury on 11 April 2025, which is a long time for any racehorse to go without success. More telling still is its record in the higher-grade races: it has contested nine Class 2 races without winning once, suggesting the horse may have reached the ceiling of its abilities and is now competing above its true level. The track where it has found most success is harder to pin down from the available information, though its Windsor win on debut in September 2023 showed early promise that has not been realised.

The most encouraging sign is Havanagreattime's partnership with jockey Finley Marsh, who has ridden the horse 11 times and won three of those races—a 27 percent win rate together, roughly one win in every three or four rides. That success rate is considerably better than the horse's overall record, which hints that the pairing could be the key to unlocking another winning performance. Ruth Carr's yard has been firing this season with 56 winners sent out, so the support is there, but Havanagreattime will need to rediscover the form that produced those four career wins if it is to avoid being gradually dropped in class as age catches up with it.
