Harry Don't Bite

Trained by Camilla Poulton out of Lewes in East Sussex, Harry Don't Bite is part of a small yard that has sent out 2 winners this season — so it isn't as though the horses around it are setting the world alight either. Poulton's operation is modest in scale, and with Harry Don't Bite racing as recently as yesterday, the yard are clearly still looking for that elusive breakthrough.

Whether it comes soon is another matter. Six races without even a placed finish points to a horse that is currently finding things difficult at whatever level it is competing. That said, it is only 5 years old, it is active, and racing has a long tradition of slow burners who eventually click. For now, though, the name feels apt — the bite hasn't come yet.
