The two-year-old is trained by Jane Chapple-Hyam at Dalham in Suffolk, a yard that has already sent out 24 winners this season. That kind of record suggests an operation running well and getting runners to the track in the right frame of mind. First races are always guesswork, but a horse trained by someone firing on cylinders has a better chance than most of making a decent impression. Whether Harlequin Dream is destined for bigger things or will need time to develop, no one can honestly say yet.
