His first win came at Navan on 23 March 2024, in a bumper race that impressed Mullins enough to suggest bigger targets lay ahead. The horse had shown real quality at home and galloped powerfully through the line that day, earning comparisons to horses capable of winning at Punchestown's championship races. But what followed was frustration. After that debut success, Harbour Highway became what trainers call "difficult to get right"—talented enough to place regularly (five placings from his last sixteen races), but winning has become an eighteen-month struggle.
His second and most recent victory came at Leopardstown on 3 March 2026, five months ago, but he has not won since. In his last six races he has finished outside the placings twice, though he did manage two second-place finishes, suggesting the ability remains somewhere underneath. Mullins has not given up on him. Speaking in late November, the trainer indicated fresh entries were being considered and that Harbour Highway remains one to look forward to in longer-distance hurdle races. Even good horses have one bad run in them, Mullins reasoned, and the horse appears capable of better days. Harbour Highway was back in action just days ago, which suggests the yard believes there is still something worth chasing here—though whether this frustrating but talented horse can find his way back to the winner's enclosure remains an open question.
