What makes Great Mates genuinely interesting is the consistency of her recent form. In her last six races, she has finished in the money five times — two wins, two second-place finishes, a fourth, and a sixth. That second win came just three months ago at Great Yarmouth on 2 July, and the horse raced only yesterday, which means it is still very much an active part of Marco Botti's Newmarket yard.
