Good World

The most recent chapter is the most interesting one. Good World won at Fairyhouse in November 2025, and at his age, landing a race at one of Ireland's most respected tracks is no small thing. That win came on slightly soft ground, which is clearly where he operates best — he's won 2 of his 9 races in those conditions, a win rate of 22%, or roughly 1 in every 4 and a half. Put him on wet, yielding ground and suddenly you're looking at a very different horse from the one who plugs along on a dry summer track.

His regular partner in the saddle is Ricky Doyle, and together they've struck once from 11 races — the same 9% win rate as Good World's overall record, which suggests this is a consistent if hard-to-win partnership rather than a magical combination. Eoin Griffin trains him from a yard in Slieverue, Co Kilkenny, and the operation is clearly in decent nick this season, having sent out 8 winners already.

Recent form shows a win, a couple of placed efforts, and a few quieter runs, which is pretty much what you'd expect from a seasoned 11-year-old campaigner. He raced just yesterday, which means his the yard aren't wrapping him in cotton wool — he's an active, working racehorse who still clearly has the appetite for competition. That in itself says something. Horses don't keep racing at 11 without a bit of heart, and Good World's record over the years suggests he has plenty of that.
