Jamie Osborne has sent out 48 winners already this season from his Upper Lambourn yard, and Golden Performance is about to run for the first time. The 2-year-old carries decent breeding — by Oscar Performance out of a Medaglia d'Oro mare — which suggests the trainer believes the horse has genuine potential. Without any racecourse form to assess yet, though, this debut will be the first real measure of whether the pedigree translates to the track.
