Trained by M C Grassick out of Curragh, Co. Kildare — a yard that has sent out 6 winners already this season — Glory To Be broke its duck at Navan back in October 2025, then built on that with the Fairyhouse win most recently. That gap between a first win and a second is often where horses either consolidate or drift, and this one has done the former. The recent form reads 1-2-–-–-7-1, which tells its own story: a couple of quiet runs in the middle, then a return to the front end of the field when it matters.

The most interesting detail in the whole profile, though, is the distance record. Over seven furlongs to a mile — roughly the middle distances on a flat card — Glory To Be has won 2 races from just 4, a 50% win rate. That is remarkable. Horses can run 15 races and never find their ideal trip; this one clearly has, and when the yard pitch it at that range, it becomes a genuinely serious contender rather than a makeweight. Wayne Lordan, who rides it most often, has one win from five together at a 20% rate — decent enough, though the horse arguably does its best work when conditions and distance align rather than depending on a specific jockey's touch.
