The recent form tells an interesting story. Those early runs — a fifth and a sixth — look like a young horse finding its feet, which is perfectly normal at this age. But the last two results show a clear step forward, and that kind of upward curve is exactly what trainers and owners hope to see from a two-year-old still learning the job. Horses this age can improve dramatically from one race to the next as they gain experience and confidence.

The horse raced just yesterday, so it is bang in the middle of its season and clearly being kept busy. That kind of active campaign usually means the team believes there is more to come. J S Moore, based at Upper Lambourn in Berkshire, has sent out 17 winners already this season — a yard in good form and clearly not short of ability. When a trainer with that kind of momentum keeps running a horse that has not yet won, it is usually because they can see something worth persevering with. Global Success may not have a win on the board yet, but the trajectory is pointing in the right direction.
