Look at the last six races and you see 1-3-2-5-2-1: two wins bookending the sequence, with a couple of placed efforts in between. That is a horse finding its feet and building some confidence. The first career win came at Hereford on 20 December 2025, which tells you Glengolly was a long time waiting for that breakthrough — 7 years old and only just getting off the mark. Then, less than four months later, a second win at Ffos Las on 12 April 2026 — this week, in fact. Glengolly raced just yesterday and is very much a horse in form right now.

Most of Glengolly's racing has come at Class 5, which is the bread-and-butter level of jump racing — competitive enough, but not where the big prizes are handed out. The record there reads 1 win from 13 races, a win rate of around 8%, or roughly 1 in 13. That is modest on paper, but the two most recent victories suggest the horse is finally converting its placed efforts into wins at this level.

The most interesting quirk in Glengolly's file is the record with regular jockey Gavin Sheehan: 0 wins from 10 races together. That is a long partnership without a winner. Yet Glengolly has clearly won races, so someone else has been in the saddle for those moments. It is not a criticism of either horse or rider — these things happen — but it is the kind of detail that makes you wonder whether a change of jockey might have quietly unlocked something.

Trained by Billy Aprahamian at Towcester in Northamptonshire, Glengolly is part of a yard that has sent out 12 winners already this season. Two of those wins belong to this horse. For a stable of that size, that is a meaningful contribution — and with Glengolly clearly in the form of its life, there may be more to come.
