That makes the lack of a result here all the more noticeable. Finishing sixth repeatedly is not the profile of a horse that is close to breaking through; it suggests something is not quite clicking, whether that is the distance, the company, or simply a horse still finding its feet.

Having raced just yesterday, Gifts Differing is very much in active training and another run could come quickly. For now, though, it remains one of those horses that keeps turning up without a reward to show for it — and until that changes, it is hard to make a strong case for it.
