Gift From Derrick

Gift From Derrick is a four-year-old still searching for a breakthrough after a single race to date. The horse finished sixth on its only outing just a day ago, suggesting the yard is keen to get it racing again soon. Trained by Jonjo and A.J. O'Neill at their Cheltenham base, Gift From Derrick has a powerful operation behind it—the O'Neill yard has already sent out 51 winners this season, so there is clearly expertise and momentum in the stable. Whether Gift From Derrick has the ability to match that success remains to be seen, but with just one race under its belt, there is still everything to learn about what this horse might become.
