What makes this one worth watching is who is doing the training. David Menuisier, based in Pulborough in West Sussex, has sent out 25 winners already this season — a healthy return that marks him out as one of the sharper yards currently operating. Menuisier has built a reputation for patient, intelligent handling of young horses, and a two-year-old with only two races behind it is very much a work in progress. The fact that it has already placed suggests the horse has ability; the question is when it puts it all together.

The other thing to note is the gap. Get This In has not raced for roughly five months, which is a significant break for any horse at this stage of its development. Horses can come back from those kinds of breaks in all sorts of shape — rustier, sharper, or somewhere in between. Menuisier's record this season gives some confidence that the horse will return in decent order, but first-run-back form is always worth keeping an eye on. If it builds on that third-place finish and gets its head in front, the story gets a lot more interesting very quickly.
