The standout moment came at Hamilton Park on 15 June 2025, when Gesayed won a Class 2 race — one of the top races in Britain — at just three years old. Winning at that level so early in a career is not a given. Most horses spend months working their way up through lesser company before they get near a race of that quality, so to land one in only the second outing is a real statement.
Behind the horse is the yard of K R Burke, based at Coverham in North Yorkshire — and the scale of their operation is hard to ignore. They have sent out 140 winners already this season, which is the kind of output that marks out a training operation at the very top of its game. When a horse of Gesayed's promise comes out of a yard running that hot, it tends to attract attention.
With only two races on the clock, almost everything about Gesayed's story is still to be written. But a Class 2 win before the age of four, a clean record, and a powerful team behind it — that is about as encouraging a start as you could hope for.
