Ganodin is a three-year-old still searching for a breakthrough. The horse has raced twice without finding the winner's enclosure, finishing well out of the places on both occasions — most recently an 18th-place finish just a day ago, having previously been beaten into 9th.
Ian Williams, who trains him at Portway in Worcestershire, has had a productive season overall, with 96 winners sent out from the yard, so there is clearly form and capability in the operation. Whether Ganodin will be the next to click remains to be seen, but he is active and racing regularly, which suggests the yard believes he has something to offer yet.
