Galistra

Trained by Alan Brown at Yedingham in North Yorkshire, Galistra is part of a yard that has already sent out 10 winners this season. That context matters: Brown's operation is clearly capable of getting horses into the winner's enclosure, which means Galistra's record is less about the training and more about where the horse sits in the pecking order or what the horse is able to achieve at the levels it has been asked to compete. At this stage, with no wins from eight attempts, Galistra remains a work in progress — young enough to improve, but without yet demonstrating the finishing touch needed to cross the line in front.
