G N Jefferson
G N Jefferson is a five-year-old who has yet to break through for a win in six career races, though the horse did finish in the top 3 once. Recent form tells a fairly clear story: the last six outings have brought a fifth place, then a third, then finishes of seventh, sixth, ninth and twelfth — a pattern of modest performances with the occasional bright spot.Based on TrackLab's analysis

Our model's view, based on this horse's career and recent runs
Trained by John McConnell at Stamullen in County Meath, the horse remains actively campaigned despite the lack of a breakthrough. McConnell's yard has been productive this season, sending out 36 winners, so there is experience and resource behind the horse. Still, with G N Jefferson finding the winner's enclosure a challenge so far, the question is whether the horse will eventually find its level or continue to search for that elusive first victory. The most recent outing, just yesterday, came as another test case — and another opportunity missed.
