Frosted Sky

Trained by Daniel McLoughlin out of Newbridge, Co Kildare, Frosted Sky is part of a yard that has clearly been in decent shape this season — nine winners sent out is a solid return, which makes the horse something of an outlier in an otherwise productive string. McLoughlin knows how to get horses winning, so the question is simply whether Frosted Sky can find the improvement needed to join them.

Having raced as recently as yesterday, this is a horse still very much in the middle of its story. Three-year-olds often take time to figure things out, and there is no shame in a slow start at that age. Whether the next run finally sees a step forward remains to be seen.
