The horse will be trained by Michael Dods, who runs his yard at Piercebridge in County Durham. That operation is on a strong run this season, having already sent out 43 winners. Dods is the kind of trainer who knows what he is doing — he has been around long enough and successful enough that horses arriving at his yard tend to be taken seriously. How Frontier Legend performs in those early races will tell us whether this debut has the makings of something worth following.
